Sino-French War

Sino-French War (1884-1885): The war between France and China for dominance in Vietnam.

This war ended with the "Treaty of Tientsin", China was "kicked" out of Vietnam and opened more than 60 years of French colonial rule in Vietnam (In fact, the French colonial period started earlier, nearly 80 years long years (since 1867 - 1945)).

Nothing has changed, Vietnam was just a piece of meat torn between two forces.
